From the Republic Magazine website.

Steve Hempfling : Why Does The IRS Keep Saying That The Income Tax Is Based On VOLUNTARY Compliance?
http://www.republicmagazine.com/webinar

This is an old WORN OUT position.

Look at the words here :
  • COMPLIANCE. In other words, you must comply.
  • VOLUNTARY. In other words, we do not come and tell you what to do. Do it on your own. FILE, or else!
When are you people going to stop living in LaLa land and get with growing some brains?

Hey LB, do you suppose Republic Magazine would be willing to do an article on you,
The Red Amendment, PAC, and the State Nationals?

Hmmm...  Smiley

"The fundamental political question is why do people obey a government. The answer is that they tend to enslave themselves, to let themselves be governed by tyrants. Freedom from servitude comes not from violent action, but from the refusal to serve. Tyrants fall when the people withdraw their support." ~ Étienne de la Boetie

"When are you people going to stop living in LaLa land and get with growing some brains?"

Come on L.B. we have all been to LaLa Land and can see that in LaLa Land everyone gets to receive their benefits without ever bearing the disadvantages, I think the LaLalanders, a.k.a. U.S citizens, call this, "Having our cake, baked by someone else in China, and eating it too."

Here's an except from the LaLa Land tourism bureau, "Remember in LaLa land everything is free, because in LaLa land we never pay a debt at law with substance, we only discharge debts in equity and pass the bill on to the next guy.  Doesn't  this sound great?  Of course it does.  There is no personal responsibility in LaLa Land, here you can bask in your own self serving delusions by becoming a ward of our glorious corporations.  Why worry about anything when you can contract with our various insurance companies and they will assume all responsibility for your irresponsible, and selfish behaviors. Here in LaLa Land we have bankers to handle all your financial affairs, simply open an account and allow our fractional reserve banking experts be your financial guardians.  LaLa Land is full of professions that will gladly contract with your for services removing any liability and responsibility for any aspect of your life.  But here in LaLa Land we don't stop there, our corporate body politic know as government will be happy to extend all kinds of benefits to you at no cost, including but not limited to, public schools, where all little LaLalanders can be trained to be the most obedient and compliant LaLalanders ever.  Social Security, business licenses, driver's licenses, marriage licenses, occupational licenses, building permits, pet licensing, regulation and control of all LaLalander's activities so they can just relax and watch T.V., go to movies, take a vacation at one of our fabulous theme parks, or just get hooked on drugs, no matter what irresponsible behaviors you personally choose to partake in, the administrators of LaLa Land will take care of you.  Ready to sign up and reside in LaLa Land?"
