Why does she dance all around the 14th? And why does she complain about the other amendments not being ratified?

There seems to be a lot of people guilty of this all over the net: they call out the 16th Amendment, and the 17th Amendment (direct election of senators) as being the genesis of our problems, completely ignoring that these both would have been impossible without the 14th Amendment before them. Willful ignorance? Very fishy, indeed...
